MyHousingIQ does not require an account. The numbers you type stay in your browser unless you copy, print, or share a link that contains them.
What the site does not collect
There is no sign-in, no saved home, and no document upload. You do not give a name, an email address, or a phone number to run a calculator.
The site does not set a cookie. It can store a session id in this browser’s session storage for the visit. That id is used to group product events. It is not an account.
What a calculator does with your numbers
A calculation uses the fields on the page and runs in your browser. Closing the tab leaves those inputs behind unless the address still has them.
When you change a field away from the sample value, the page writes that input into the address. If you open a comparison, the difference can be stored in the address as well. Copying or sharing that link shares the inputs. Do not share the link if the numbers should stay private.
A product event can name the tool and the field you changed. It is not designed to include the dollar amount, the measurement, or the rate you typed.
Search
Search matches the words you type against calculator names and descriptions. Those words sit in the address of the search page. They are not written to an account, and they are not part of a product event.
Embeds
An embed is the calculator at an embed address so it can sit on another page. It uses the same browser math. Changed inputs can appear in that page’s address. The embed can send the same kind of product event as the rest of the site. Search engines are asked not to index embed addresses.
Product events
The site can send a product event when you open a page, open a tool, change a field, or finish a calculation. The event can include the event name, the tool, the category, which field changed, a session id from this browser, phone or desktop, and a coarse source such as direct, internal, or referral. A campaign tag in the address can be used as that source.
The event does not include your name or the amounts you type. The server checks the event and forwards it only if an analytics destination is configured. It does not keep its own copy.
Advertising and sale of data
Advertising is off. The page does not show an ad unless ads are turned on, and they are not turned on. Partner and financing links stay hidden until a real destination is configured. None is configured. If that changes, this notice will be updated first.
MyHousingIQ does not sell personal data.

Do I need an account?

Does MyHousingIQ store the numbers I type?
The calculation runs in your browser. Inputs are not saved to an account. If you change a field away from its sample value, the page can put that input in the address. A comparison, if you open one, can be in the address too. Anyone with that link can see those inputs.
