How much waste should I add?
Ten percent is a common allowance for a straight layout. A diagonal install or many doorways often needs more. You can edit the percent.
What if I already know the square feet?
Enter that area as the length and use 1 as the width. Then set the waste and the box coverage.
Does this include stairs?
No. Stair treads are not part of the room rectangle. Measure them separately.
Why buy a full extra box?
The count rounds up because you cannot buy a fraction of a box in this estimate. A later repair is easier if the dye lot matches.
